September 26th, 2020 will go down in the record books for sure! When Colleen and August originally reached out to me to photograph their wedding it was going to be another place and another time. COVID-19 definitely changed everyone's world and plans. This amazing couple decided well, I guess we could just buy an epic house and throw it in the backyard instead. SO, THAT THEY DID!

The day had a 15% chance of rain that turned into a 100% chance right before the ceremony. This couple has a ton of amazing people in their lives who swooped in to quickly assemble tents and allow the wedding ceremony to proceed as planned. I cannot believe how powerful it was to see you all keep a great attitude throughout the day and truly let your love run the day and not let anything hinder your experience!

It was wet, it was wild, SOOOOOO many White Claws were killed in the making of this marriage. HAHAHA I feel so unbelievably grateful to have been the one to capture the wedding day festivities  and cannot wait to share the wedding gallery with you all. 

I will never forget discussing the price of a wedding album with our wedding photographer. My wife and I were quite budget conscious and at one point thought, "We do not want or need prints or a wedding album. We are ALREADY paying thousands of dollars for photography" So we didn't order it. A year passed and my wife made us a wedding book through shutterfly and I liked seeing the images in there. The book was not cheap but it is also not high quality by any means either. It will not withstand the test of time if people were to flip through it. I am pretty sure one of our kids ripped one of the pages in it :(

For my first several weddings as a professional photographer I didn't really talk a whole lot about prints or albums because I assumed everyone shared my beliefs in how RIDICULOUS and expensive a Photo Album is. But, after I saw the quality of the first "REAL" album I designed, had printed and delivered, I was changed. This couple sat down with this book and saw the images and almost teared up. This album with a leather bound custom cover, thick pages and matte finish print was absolutely beautiful. The album itself was a piece of art. 

Every time I photograph a wedding there are always grandparents or moms and dads who have been married for 30+ years and I always imagine if they had an album printed like the ones that I deliver to my wedding couples they would be so excited to show it off until they couldn't anymore and then pass it down to the younger generations.

An Album costs a lot, yes, but it is not wasted money. It is an investment into your future happiness. You are investing into an item that will bring hundreds of smiles for years to come. Think about what is going on in the world right now. If you could pick up a photo album that 100% guaranteed a smile, chuckle or little tear of joy would you buy it? Is $300 worth it? YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT IS! I understand that money doesn't come easy to us all and I get that you have spent a TON on your wedding but, know, that printed wedding photography especially in the form of a wedding album is not wasted money. If you can pay $300-$2000 for a cake that you will literally "Eliminate" within 24-48 hours why not invest in something that will bring joy for decades? Did you notice I just said eliminate instead of poop? That was fun.

October 13th was an absolutely amazing day to celebrate Lindsay and Tyler. The wedding ceremony took place at The Church of St. Peter in Mendota is oldest Catholic Church in Minnesota. It was a beautiful background for their perfect day. After the ceremony everyone headed over to the Saint Paul Athletic Club to continue the celebration. What an amazing reception it was with friends and family from all over the country! Delicious food, flowing drinks and dance floor full of smiles and laughter. Congratulations to this amazing couple. Glaring at the weather forecast all week we thought it was going to be a rainy day but rain or shine this beautiful couple was going to get married. It ended up being overcast but stayed perfectly dry until we started POPPING BOTTLES with this group! Rebecca and Aaron have extremely supportive friends and family members that made this day so unbelievably special, A perfect early Fall day for a perfect couple. After 8 years of love and sharing that love through Vikings game days on Sunday these two are now called the Boser's. They both believe that the other is the kindest person they have ever met and I felt that kindness from them on September 29, 2018. 

I was honored to be their chosen twin cities wedding photographer and would not have been able to capture the day without the help of my lovely assistant, Kate Lynner. Also this couple had a pretty sweet line up of vendors which all made the day possible. Shout out to:

With friends and family gathered at Jean Acres in Ellsworth, WI, they had the most beautiful setting for their special day. Rustic Barn, massive chicken cookers, beautiful scenery and beer flowing all day. I could not have imagined a better celebration of love for these two! I know that they will have a lifetime full of love and happiness.

On March 13th, 2015 my brother was able to marry the woman of his dreams. Several months back Kristy and Ben asked me if I could take photos of their wedding. I agreed without a moment of hesitation. When we arrived at the Stanley Hotel I knew we were going to get some amazing shots. I really tried to harness the ominous feel of the historic hotel and create some images that captured their love and the scenery.
