I had the fortunate opportunity of finding Adam through a recommendation on Facebook to be our photographer for our wedding in April.
After getting reached out by many other photographers, I looked through their portfolios (including Adam's, of course), narrowed it down to a few candidates to then book a time to meet them online.
I will say this before I continue, know what you want or what your focus/theme is when choosing your photographer. Like any interview, both parties should have an idea on who they're connecting with based on the reciprocation in communication.
In my case, I was essentially 4 positions in 1 person (Bride, Hostess, Wedding director, and "Logistician") Although our purpose in general was to capture the wedding, my main focus was to capture family and portrait photos on such a special day.
Looking at Adam's portfolio, his shots really grabbed my attention and I felt he would be able to focus on my wanted theme for my wedding: the family portion. As a nerdy artist, It was something I couldn't describe.
When we received our wedding photos, sure they were fun to look at and made us smile, but the family and couple portraits we're the main delight in my eyes. Objective captured.
I spoke with Adam first, then with other vendors who I picked as potential candidates, only then to quickly decide on Adam. Not saying that the others were bad, no, but Adam's first impression, his aura, and mostly, clarity in professional communication (aka "the boring stuff" / "nitty gritty") stuck with me.
Truly a pleasant photographer with a humble, great energy, work ethic personality. Thank you again for a wonderful session and experience. I hope to have fancy photos taken again in the future.
